Cubic Zirconia (CZ) does not contain carbon and, hence, is not at all similar to Lab-grown diamonds. CZ are quite weak in comparison to Lab-grown diamonds, as, performance and patterning do not match that of diamonds. No lab grown diamonds are chemically exactly the same as natural diamonds and are not synthetic.
At first glance, the natural diamonds & lab diamonds look similar even to trained jewelers. Even some of the commonly used jeweler tools are not able to judge the difference between lab-grown or natural ones.
